Caroline County Democratic Club held their second meeting on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Central Library in Denton. The group in person was joined by several others attending virtually. Folks spoke about why they were Democrats attending the meeting and about their current concerns about issues in the county and country.
The group discussed one way to promote Democratic participation- by setting up tables at large community events such as Strawberry Fest in Ridgely on May 25th and Caroline Pride on June 7th. Participants were also encouraged to attend regular weekly County Commissioners meetings on Tuesdays at 9am and monthly Board of Education meetings on the first Tuesday at 6pm.
Corinna Crenshaw shared information about a variety of political events happening locally on the Mid-Shore and a protest happening in Annapolis on March 4th. A group, Lower Shore Progressive Caucus, has expressed interest in holding a rally in Caroline County, but no date or time was mentioned.
Corinna also announced that a vacancy at the Caroline County Board of Elections has opened up after the resignation of one member. The Board is composed of five members, three from the Governor’s party and two from the primary opposition party, which meets monthly on the 2nd Friday at 9:30am at the Board of Elections office in Denton. The Governor appoints the members. Interested parties should contact James Bardsley, Chair of the Central Committee, if they wish to be considered for this position.
John Terebey announced an informal workshop on web apps developed for the Club for Wednesday, March 12th at 4pm at the Tenchi Restaurant in Greensboro. Tools included our own Domain Name (CarolineDemocrats.org), zoomD (zoom for Democrats), Community forum (joinus.CarolineDemocrats.org), email server, and our developing web page at www.CarolineDemocrats.org. He hoped that idea people as well as techies would attend to help us grow.
The next Meeting of the Club was set for the 3rd Tuesday of the month, April 15th at 6pm.

I spoke with Debbie Bowden on February 13th. She pointed out that there is a Community Calendar in the print version of the Review as well as the online version. Groups may enter their own events online and they will be picked up in the next print version, as appropriate.

The deadline for submissions is now the 10th of the month ( a change from the 15th, which it had been for many years.)

    They also welcome articles.
